Meet.Rakesh, a young aspirant whose life took a remarkable turn with IIDA Community College. Son of an auto-rickshaw driver and the youngest of three siblings, Rakesh found himself at a crossroads after completing his 12th standard. The future seemed uncertain until a friend introduced him to the Lab Technician course at IIDA.
At IIDA, Rakesh embarked on a comprehensive learning journey. Our dedicated educators ensured he received a well-rounded education, encompassing theoretical knowledge, practical expertise, and essential soft skills. This holistic approach prepared Rakesh not just for a job, but for a successful career.
Rakesh’s dedication and hard work paid off during his second year when he was selected for a three-month training program at Shakthi Medical Lab in Maduravoyal, Chennai. This experience was a stepping stone, leading to a two-year tenure with the lab.
Today, Rakesh stands proud as a Lab Technician at Apollo Hospital, one of the premier healthcare institutions in the country. His story is a testament to the transformative power of education and opportunity provided by IIDA.

IDA profits support projects/programmes that empower young people from low income backgrounds, abuse and neglect through scholarships and skill training.
Whatever we were able to do now and then, it was only because of people giving. Generously, sacrificially, joyfully, out of surplus or regular budget. Individual people, families, businesses, organisations, corporates, some government aided programs. Enabling us to do our Work of extending a helping hand and standing with us.
When you help an underprivileged person, you can be sure you’re investing in something very valuable: a life worth living! Sponsoring one of the needy children or underprivileged students with IIDA, you not only have the satisfaction of having helped and promoted the individual, but you have a chance to visit our projects and locations to ensure the effectiveness of your donation. You are very welcome!
Here are some ways how you can help. The figures are average, as the actual cost depends on the size of the college/branch and its total number of students/courses. They giving you the figure of the overall cost. If you are able to cover an annual sponsorship of a child or a training scholarship of a student it will make a great difference in a life. However, a half or monthly portion thereof can also be donated in instalments and is very much welcome – and needed. THANK YOU very much for your consideration!
